Re: Revised Chronology- my input br.davidosb 25 May 2022 00:15 UTC

Bishop 'Bill' Franklin was to complete his 5 year term in June 2020 but resigned after I was e!acted superior in May 2019 because of his appointment as assistant bishop of Long Island,NY.He did initial interviews with Bp. Scarfe that Spring 2019. So Bp. Bill was elected in may 2015. Bishop Wolfe resigned in 2014. He was elected in 2006,but we didn't see much of him because of the stormy relationship with Michael John.

I hope this helps

Abbot David

Br. Dunstan makes a good point below.  Not only don't we have the resignation date of Bishop Franklin but I note we don't have his accession date either.  Nor the resignation date of his predecessor Bishop Dean Wolfe.   Bishop Franklin retired as bishop of Western New York in 2019, but I have no clue if he hung as as bishop visitor until Bishop Scarfe took over.  Anybody got any clues?

 Hi Br. Steven,
Great job with the archives and this chronology. 😁 I did notice one omission, between Bishop Wolfe and Bishop Scarfe, our Bishop Visitor was Bishop R. William Franklin, who was the Bishop of Western New York. He left us when he retired as bishop diocesan. Abbot David no doubt knows the dates. He had to scurry to find a new bishop on rather short notice!

Dear Abbot, Brothers & Sisters,
Only the date of Michael John Austin's installation as abbot was changed.  Sr. Mary Francis thought something was off, and she was right. Do let me know if you notice anything that might seem inaccurate, or anything that should be included and is not.  We want to make this as precise as possible.
