Dear Abbot, Sisters and Brothers,

I just received a phone call from Br. Arne Aasen, our Oblate Brother from my parish. His 50 year old niece, Sharon, had a stroke last night. She was taken to a local hospital, and then airlifted to another hospital with a stroke unit. They both live in an apartment building 2 blocks from the church, and Br. Arne walks to services with a walker. He mentioned how much he misses going to church, as do we all.

Brother does not “do” email, but has a cell phone. (A flip phone.) I told him I would add Sharon to our email prayer list.
