Dear Abbot, Sisters and Brothers of CSL,

Just a note to thank everyone for their prayers. Luckily we in our area were spared the brunt of hurricane Henri, receiving however lots of rain and some winds , but no downed trees or power outages. Many other portions of the state were not as fortunate, especially the New London area.

Thank you all! May God bless and keep you,
Br. Thomas Anthony

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

This hurricane is expected to cross Long Island, Conn. central Mass and into the Menanock region of NH late tonight then move east across central NH tomorrow. Please raise prayers of protection for the people in these states.  Especially pray for Br. Thomas Anthony and his wife who may very well be in the bulls eye of  the storm's path in Connecticut, Jeffery Kasica who lives on the coast of Mass, Sr. Susanna Margaret who lives on the Island of Nantucket.  Brother Robert who lives in Concord, NH and Sr. Brigid and myself in southern NH.

This is the first hurricane to hit New England since hurricane Bob in 1991. So people are nervous; but getting prepared. There will be a lot of wind NW of the center and a lot of rain NE of the center. So, we are batting down the hatches, so to speak.

Abbot David
